Terms of Service

Last updated 18 September 2026

1. Who we are

GlowBook is operated by Dashttp Ltd, a company registered in Ghana, with its office at 04 Kundum Ave, Tema, Ghana. In these terms “GlowBook”, “we” and “us” mean Dashttp Ltd. “You” means anyone who uses GlowBook, whether to book a service or to offer one.

2. What GlowBook is — and is not

GlowBook is a booking platform. It lets customers find beauty and personal-care businesses in Ghana — salons, spas, nail bars, barbers and independent artists — book appointments with them and pay a deposit online. The businesses listed on GlowBook are independent businesses. They are not employees, agents or partners of Dashttp Ltd. Each business decides its own services, prices, deposits and opening hours, and is responsible for the services it provides. When you book, the appointment is an agreement between you and that business; GlowBook provides the platform through which it is made and paid for.

3. Using GlowBook

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a booking. By using GlowBook you confirm that you are. You agree to give accurate details (your name, phone number and email address) and to keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. A business that lists on GlowBook must be a real business, entitled to offer the services it lists.

4. Bookings and deposits

Some services require a deposit to confirm the booking. The deposit amount is shown before you pay. The remaining balance is paid to the business at your appointment, or through GlowBook if the business asks for it that way. A booking is confirmed when the deposit is paid (or, for a booking made at the salon, when the salon records it). Prices and deposits are set by each business and may change; the price shown when you book is the price you pay.

5. Cancelling and rescheduling

You can cancel or reschedule a booking free of charge up to 2 hours before its scheduled start time. After that cutoff, the deposit you paid is non-refundable, because the business has held the slot for you and can no longer fill it. A booking may be rescheduled up to two times. If you cancel before the cutoff, your deposit is refunded to the payment method you used; refunds are processed by Paystack and usually arrive within 5 to 10 business days. If a business cancels your booking, your deposit is refunded in full whenever it happens. If you do not attend and do not cancel, the booking is treated as a late cancellation.

6. Payments

Deposits, gift cards and any balance paid through GlowBook are processed by Paystack, a licensed payment provider. GlowBook never sees or stores your card number or your mobile-money PIN. Paystack may ask for an email address for your receipt. Money paid for a service goes to the business; GlowBook charges the business a platform fee, which is shown to the business and never added to your price.

7. Gift cards

A gift card bought through GlowBook can be spent with the business that issued it, in one visit or across several, until it is used up. Anyone who has the card’s code can spend it, so keep it to yourself. Gift cards are not exchangeable for cash except where the law requires it.

8. Messages

GlowBook sends booking confirmations, reminders and payment messages by SMS, email and, where it is set up, WhatsApp. These are part of the service. Reminders and other non-essential messages can be turned off in your notification settings.

9. Acceptable use

Do not use GlowBook to harass staff or other customers, to make bookings you do not intend to keep, to pay with money or cards that are not yours, to scrape or copy the platform, or to do anything that breaks the law. Businesses must not list services they cannot lawfully provide or use customer details for anything other than serving the customer.

10. Suspending or ending accounts

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used for fraud or abuse, or repeatedly fails to attend bookings. You can close your account at any time by contacting us. Closing an account does not cancel bookings already made or refund deposits already forfeited under section 5, and we keep the records the law requires us to keep (see our Privacy Policy).

11. Our responsibility to you

We work to keep GlowBook available and accurate, but we provide it “as is”. We are not responsible for the services a business provides, for how a treatment turns out, or for a business’s own actions. To the extent Ghanaian law allows, our liability to you for anything arising from your use of GlowBook is limited to the amounts you paid through the platform in the ninety days before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When a change matters, we will say so in the app or by message before it takes effect. Continuing to use GlowBook after that means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. We would rather sort things out directly first — contact us.
